CASUAL CHEF
We are currently seeking an experienced, qualified casual chef to join our kitchen team.
Employment Type: Casual
Hours: 15–20hrs a week
Requirements:
Ideally 3-5yrs experience in a high-volume, strong turnover venue
Excellent attention to detail
Quality attention to detail and time management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact positively with restaurant staff and management
Detailed knowledge of health and safety standards in the kitchen
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present menu items to a high standard
Kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking and clean up
Assist in managing, motivating, leading and developing the kitchen team
Liaising and communicating with front-of-house staff
Maintain a high standard of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness, as well as health and safety procedures
Inspect raw and cooked food items to guarantee the highest quality products are prepared and served to customers
Assist in managing food costs and supplier management to budget
Assist in managing staff costs to budget
Assist in managing and maintaining ordering of stock and produce
Collaborate with management, ensuring kitchen operations are aligned with the overarching goals of the company
